Western Golf Properties was founded in 1985 by Joe Black, an iconic figure in golf: a former PGA Tour player, past president of the PGA of America and distinguished member of the PGA Hall of Fame. Amongst the first golf management companies, Black’s vision for Western Golf Properties was much greater than simply running golf courses. It was about combining golf management disciplines with exceptional golf course experiences to create enduring course reputations, appeal and golf management success.

To do this, Western Golf Properties focused on partnering with developers during the conception phase of the project, Black assembled a team of talented and skilled golf management professionals well versed in all aspects of golf club management. The result; Western Golf Properties became the exclusive golf management partner to Lennar Homes, US Homes and Lyle Anderson, assisting with projects such as Reflection Bay Golf Club and South Shore Golf Club (Lake Las Vegas, NV); Las Campanas Golf Club ( Santa Fe, NM); Desert Highlands Golf Club, Desert Mountain Golf Club, DC Ranch Golf Club (Scottsdale, AZ); Pelican Hill Golf Club (Newport Coast, CA); TPC Snoqualmie Ridge (Snoqualmie, WA) and Loch Lomond Golf Club (Scotland).
